AEC Recommendations and Recognition Advisory Board Chair

My story is all about making a difference—about impacting the lives of others and the industry we all serve. Serving as chair of this advisory board, I will have an opportunity to help select and honor those association executives who serve the REALTOR® community. This opportunity is both rewarding and important.

We recommend AEs to serve on most committees. Ensuring that we recommend peers who are passionate and knowledgeable is important because the the AE who serves on an NAR committee may be the only AE voice at the table. Divergent opinions make this industry strong, which is critical in this time of challenge to the industry.

We also have the distinct honor and privilege of selecting association executives to be honored with the:
● AE Leaders of Tomorrow Young Professionals Award
● William D. North AE Institute Scholarship
● Judith Lindenau RCE Scholarship
● Terry McDermott AE Community Leadership Award
● Dr. Almon R. (Bud) Smith AE Leadership Society
● William R. Magel Award of Excellence

The Magel award is the one every association executive should aspire to receive. It’s often the pinnacle of an individual’s career in REALTOR® association management.

Finally, we recommend the AE who is best suited to serve as AE Committee chair, a position that works closely with REALTOR® leaders in advancing the goals of the REALTOR® organization. It is a high calling, and it is important to the industry.
